SCOTT A. BURDMAN

SCOTT BURDMAN, licensed to practice law in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, California and Ohio, concentrates in the area of construction defect litigation. Mr. Burdman has recouped over $100 million in settlement and trial verdicts for his construction defect clients over the last six years. With more than 25 years experience, Mr. Burdman has represented over 100 homeowner associations to resolve claims of defective construction. Mr. Burdman has been successful in using mediation in lieu of litigation to resolve construction defect claims for a number of condominium projects and planned unit developments. Mr. Burdman is personally involved in attending site inspections, board meetings, mediations and trials of claims. He has presented over 100 legal seminars for property management companies and their boards of directors on construction defects, condominium law, and related issues. He is active in promoting legislation protecting consumers and is a member of Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, Community Associations Institute, Arizona Association of Community Managers, and Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Burdman earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University and a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law.




D. ROBERT WARD

ROBERT WARD concentrates primarily on civil litigation matters, including construction defect litigation, mold litigation, and community association law. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991 and a Juris Doctor degree from the California Western School of Law in 1995. Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Ward wrote several legislative update articles as a research assistant for a bipartisan public policy-making organization near Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Rob has worked on a number of multi-million dollar complex litigation matters in the past, including disputes involving products liability, franchise misrepresentation issues and residential construction defects. He is active in several trade organizations, including Community Association Institute's San Diego, Orange County, Sacramento and Greater Inland Empire chapters, and California Association of Community Managers. Rob has published articles on construction defect and community association issues and is a frequent speaker at various legal seminars offered by the Burdman Law Group. A member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Rob has also worked with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Association on domestic issues and spent some time early in his career handling simple employment disputes for indigent workers. Presently, Rob splits his time handling construction defect and mold litigation matters between San Diego and our recently opened Sacramento office. Away from the office, Robert enjoys golf, music, spending time with family and friends, and raising his 6-year-old.

WILLIAM SHORE, has achieved the highest rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He is a trial lawyer for more than 20 years in Arizona, practices in the areas of construction law, real estate, corporate law and commercial litigation. Mr. Shore has represented over 300 common interest communities in cases involving construction defects; covenant enforcement; assessment collection; breach of fiduciary duties by developers, officers and directors; and the professional liability of engineers, architects, surveyors and real estate agents. Prior to joining Burdman & Shore, PLLC, Mr. Shore was a partner for 16 years with Campana, Vieh & Shore in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Shore has a B.A. degree from Georgetown University and a J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.

STEPHEN COSTON, is an associate in the Las Vegas office of Burdman Law Group. Although he graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors of Science in 2000, Mr. Coston is a lifelong resident of Nevada and received his Juris Doctorate from UNLV Boyd School of Law in 2003. Mr. Coston was admitted to the Nevada Bar and has been practicing primarily in construction defect since 2004. Mr. Coston currently is an Instructor of seminars for the Nevada Real Estate Division regarding Community and Homeowners Association law.

PIETER M. O'LEARY is an experienced civil litigator whose current practice focuses on civil litigation matters including construction defect litigation, real property and misrepresentation claims, as well as community association law. Prior to joining the Burdman Law Group, Mr. O'Leary represented contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and others in matters pertaining to payment disputes, breach of contract, scope of work claims, bid protests, differing site condition claims, Mechanic�s Liens, late payment penalty claims, and other construction and business related civil litigation matters. He has also litigated such matters as construction work site injuries, general premises liability claims, contract disputes, business torts, and labor and employment claims. Mr. O'Leary has represented individuals and business entities before both state and federal courts in a wide variety of legal matters. While in law school, Mr. O'Leary served as a judicial extern to Justice James A. McIntyre of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division One. Additionally, Mr. O'Leary was a certified intern with the California Attorney General's Office in the Criminal Division - Appeals, Writs, and Trials section where he drafted several Respondent Briefs on behalf of the State and successfully argued two cases before the California Court of Appeal. He was also a member of Law Review and the Dean�s Honor List at California Western School of Law. When time permits, he can be found swimming, hiking, or cycling.

LESLIE CHOMICZ, the legal administrator for Burdman Law Group, has worked in the legal field for over 11 years. Ms. Chomicz graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of San Diego, where she received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Ocean Studies. She was awarded the Outstanding Senior Student of Ocean Studies in 1993.
Ms. Chomicz is a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society for Psychology. She completed a Master of Arts in Human Behavior.



DONNA HOULE

DONNA HOULE provides support for all attorneys in Las Vegas and California. Ms. Houle also serves as a homeowner liaison and a construction expert coordinator when supervising site inspections and destructive testing. Donna has attended construction classes given by the Nevada State Contractors Board. Ms. Houle has been awarded a Certificate of Commendation from Senator Harry Reid for her assistance in the firm's Pro Bono cases. Ms. Houle has over 26 years experience in all aspects of civil litigation and for the past 9 years, concentrating mainly on construction defect litigation. Ms. Houle is an active member of Community Associations Institute in the state of Nevada. Her previous areas of legal experience include insurance defense, civil litigation, workers compensation, products liability and management of files for such notable clients as General Motors, Chrysler, Ford, Volkswagen, Honda and BMW.

PRISCILLA WELLER is the supervising member to our complex litigation team in Phoenix, Arizona. Priscilla earned her Associates Degree and Paralegal Certification from Phoenix College, an American Bar Association approved curriculum, and graduated on the Honors List and the President's List. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Business in Business Management through Phoenix College and Arizona State University. Priscilla's previous legal experience includes working in the areas of personal injury, real estate transaction and bankruptcy litigation. She is presently seeking membership in the community volunteer programs Habitat for Humanity and Big Brother, Big Sister.

JENI MEYERS-TEMBY joined the firm of Burdman & Shore in Phoenix, AZ in 2007 after 5 years in the community management field. Prior to community management, Jeni was a pastry chef having graduated in the inaugural class of the Art Institute of Phoenix. She found her way into community management after many years as president of her own HOA. Jeni is currently an active member of both Community Associations Institute and Arizona Association of Community Managers, where she serves on many committees and is always ready to volunteer. She also holds CAI's designation of Certified Manager of Community Associations. When Jeni is not busy with client relations, she is a professional actress and stand-up comic and can be seen regularly at clubs in the tri-state area!
